What is MIST?
: MIST is an enterprise solution to scan,
process and store medical insurance card information for health
care providers and hospitals.
How does MIST work?
: MIST is a web application, designed for large-scale, high
traffic enterprise use. MIST Server is a central database in
the intranet accessible from anywhere within the health care
providers LAN/WAN/VPN. MIST performs OCR to recognize the information
on the card and uses AutoFill technology to select the information
for database fields. All records are stored in the web server.
MIST users are standard PC's with a special USB scanner designed
for plastic cards.
